(Did you notice what the Marine was using as a tripod?)
There are no limitations to what Marines can do. We don’t know the meaning “fail” or “cant” and many times we will push our mind & bodies further than they want to go then push a little further. We do more with less, and are the best at training Marines and winning battles. Plus we have the best commercials.
Yes, we are very disciplined. Throughout all of the ranks we have strong bodies and very sharp minds. We emphasize on small unit leadership and train our young Marines to take charge and that they do. Many will say “Marines are arrogant.” We aren’t arrogant, we just are confident in what we do. We love a challenge, any challenge and by the way we hate to lose.
I love it when I run into those that think Marine are in the Marines because they have “no other options.” Then I explain to them that three quarters of my Marines had their Bachelor of Science degree....they had plenty of “options.”
Many go into harm’s way. Some get beat up and some don’t return. Those that do get banged up have the option to return. It’s not easy because we don’t lower our standards, not for anyone.
We don’t stop being Marines ever. We have earned that title and it’s ours. This is most evident when companies hire Marines. They are great employees. Self motivated, hard workers and a major contributor to society.
For all that is holy although we are human and you to can make a difference. You don’t have to be a physical stud or travel to foreign lands to make a difference. You can do it right here in America. One person, regardless if it’s a Marine or not can make a difference. Why not make it you? There are no limitations!
