There is a wounded soldier in the Fisher House in Fort Sam Houston, Texas by the name of David Thornhill. Sgt. Thornhill lost both legs and I think both arms as well as being burned on 56% of his body while serving this country in Iraq. Sgt. Thornhill has been there 2 years!
His parents are not asking for money or anything like that but they are asking for as many soldiers and veterans as possible to please send him a birthday card. His birthday is this coming week and it would be nice if a lot of us send him a birthday card to show him how much we love him for what he has sacrificed for his country. His parents are worried about his emotional status and he hardly ever has visitors.
Let's honor this soldier and send him a lot of cards. Show your love:

As a friend, I have been out at the Fisher House visiting with SGT Daniel Thornhill and helping him go through all of the kind mailings that he has received. We have been curious where all of it has originated and I came upon your post here. I'm not sure where you received this information, but it is incorrect. His name is Daniel, and not David. He was injured in Afghanistan by an IED blast. He did lose both his legs and has burns, but still has both his arms. As a friend and a regular visitor I feel that is important for me to correct this misinformation and let you know that his family is not concerned about his emotional well being; Daniel is one of the strongest people I know. He also has plenty of visitors and support. And lastly, his birthday was mid May.
